Why Yoga?
Yoga is a spiritual practice originating with Hindu sages and mystics in Ancient India. The Sanskrit word 'Yoga' is derived from the root 'Yuj', meaning to join, yoke or unite. In the Yoga Sutras of Patañjali, he describes yoga as the path toward yoking the self with the divine. The goal of Yoga is to attain liberation through union with our own Divine Consciousness. The practice of Asana allows us to synthesize experience into embodiment.
